As seen on CNN’s “Expedition: Sumatra” with Philippe Cousteau, the landscape known as Bukit Tigapuluh, or “30 Hills” — an area located in the heart of Indonesia’s Sumatra island — is quickly disappearing.
Elephants, orangutans, and tigers inhabit mountainous forests, lowland forests, peat swamps, and freshwater swamp forests of 30 Hills.
It is estimated that Sumatra has approximately 130,000 square kilometers of remaining habitat for animals, only one-third of which has some form of protection from development and logging.
We need your help to SAVE 30 HILLS.
